Quayside Gallery specialises in high quality contemporary fine art contemporary fine art, mostly from Scotland and France. Our long association with Gallery Sumukha in Bangalore also provides UK buyers of Indian contemporary art with a strong portfolio of collectable artists. We represent artists who provide highly individual pieces (whatever their choice of medium) and who have the potential to appeal to a range of customers, from the serious collector to the one-off purchaser.
As part of its policy of selecting new artists of interest and quality, Quayside is pleased to present some additions to its popular portfolio. Some of the artists we represent have not followed what is considered to be a conventional path to their artistic destinations: we try to source artists of undeniable talent, of dedication and those who strive to perfect their technique. We seem to have a reputation for showing works that are of excellent quality at reasonable prices, while not pandering to popular commercial appeal, so our collectors are discerning, but not necessarily wealthy!

Armand Berthe We have shown the works of Armand Berthe regularly, both in our gallery and at the AAF. Now 80 years of age, he still paints daily, concentrating now more on etchings, collages and oil abstracts, but still creating the occasional figurative piece. Some examples can be seen on this site here and his last London exhibition.
Simon Fletcher For the first time, we are delighted to show a selection of watercolours by Simon Fletcher. Simon's luminous and evocative paintings are well known in Europe, where he has established a strong demand for his work - we think it is time you saw them! See examples at http://perso.orange.fr/fletcher.simon.
Pascal Furminieux Pascal Furminieux is a painter and sculptor. We are featuring several of his figurative works in clay and drawings which demonstrate movement through minimal line. Examples can be seen on his website www.furminieux.com.
Rosalyn Jacobs French landscapes from a well-known American artist in oils on canvas. Rosalyn has her own web pages at www.rozjacobs.com where a range of her work can be seen, together with biographical and background information.
Jean Lagadec Once again we are pleased to show the work of Jean Lagadec. He has been a regular favourite at the AAF, where his sculptural paintings (impossible to photograph!) have developed quite a following. We will also show some of his latest works in oil.
Stéphane Mérel Stéphane Mérel is a young sculptor from Lyon. His bird, animal and fish sculptures, mainly in metal, reflect his concern and compassion for nature. These works also show the impact of the environment on various species. To view examples, go to http://merel.sculptures.free.fr.
Amélie Onzon Amélie Onzon comes from the Cevennes, but is still studying art in Paris. Her talent for painting nudes shows a lovely three-dimensional quality using a palette reminiscent of Gustav Klimpt. Her line is pure, and her patterns often show a dappled effect, lifting the subject from the paper.
Pierrette Toupillier Pierrette Toupillier has been a favourite artist of our gallery for ten years. A native of Montmartre, she now lives in Nice but still paints small images of la France Profonde in perfect naïf detail. Examples can be seen on this site here.
