DIPALI BHATTACHARYA was born in 1952 and graduated from the
University of Calcutta in 1972. She graduated from the Govt. College
of Art & Crafts, Calcutta in 1974. Between 1976 and 1995 she participated
in many group shows in India and abroad. Dipali has shown solo at
Cymroza Art Gallery, Mumbai and Gallerie Ganesha, New Delhi;
La Gallery, Dhaka, Bangla Desh; Gallery Belvedere, Singapore.
The British Council sponsored a tour for her to London in 1986;
Air India and Rotary Bangalore also sponsored a tour for her to London,
New York and San Francisco in 1998. Dipali was guest artist at the
Banga Sammelan, Atlanta, 2002.

Her works in oils, acrylics and tempera on canvas, water colours
and drawings, mostly in a contemporarily figurative style, are in the
collections of the Delhi College of Art, Birla Academy of Fine Arts,
Guestkeen Willliams, Tatas, Godrej and in private collections in India,
Germany, London, USA and Bangla Desh.

Dipali Bhattacharya lives and works in Kolkata, India.


SAMIR MONDAL is an alumnus of Govt.College of Arts, Calcutta.
He has held several solo shows in major cities of India, and has
celebrated twenty five years of exhibiting in the water colour medium.
He is known as one of India's most skilful and successful water colourists.
He has received many prestigious awards, including the AIFACS, New Delhi,
West Bengal State Academy Award (twice), the Academy of Fine Arts
Award (twice) and the A.P. Council of Artists Award, Hyderabad.

His works are in the collections of the NGMA, New Delhi,
Museums of Karnataka, RPG Enterprises, Tata Steel and various
other private and public collections. Mondal has participated in many group
shows in India and abroad and has held demonstrations of his dexterity
with large sized water colours, which are often in vibrant colours.

Mondal lives and works in Mumbai, India.

M.SHANTHAMANI was born in Mysore, India, in 1967. She obtained
her B.A. in painting from CAVA, Mysore (1983-88) and M.A. (Fine)
in painting from M.S. University, Baroda (1989-91). She has
shown solo in Mumbai (Jehangir Art Gallery), and in Bangalore
(Sakshi Art Gallery). She works with interesting new media and
materials, such as in "Immaterial Material" organized by Max Mueller
Bhavan, Bangalore, 1995. "Sahmat", Artists Against Communalism,
1992; "Crosscurrents", a three nations' women artists' touring show in
Norway, 1997; "Edge of the Century", exhibition of contemporary Indian
art, New Delhi,1999 are some of her group shows. She has received the
Arnawaz Vasudev Charities Scholarship (1996), All India Exhibition
Chitrakala Parishath Award (1996) and the Inlaks Grant.

Her works are in many private and public collections in India and abroad.
Shanthamani lives and works in Bangalore, India.

T. VAIKUNTAM was born in Andhra Pradesh in 1942. His art education
includes a diploma in painting from the College of Fine Arts &
Architcture, A.P. He is a senior artist who has worked for many years and is
the recipient of several national awards. He has participated in several
national exhibitions throughout India and his works are in the collections
of the Salarjung Museum and contemporary Art Museum, Hyderabad,
NGMA, and Lalit Kala, New Delhi. Vaikuntam has attended numerous art
camps around the country and is known for his colourful depiction
of tribal people.

He lives and works in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.

S.G. VASUDEV was born in Mysore in 1941. He graduated from the
Govt. College of Arts, Chennai. In 1966, along with some of his colleagues
and teachers, he founded the now famous "Cholamandal Artists' Village"
on the outskirts of Chennai.

Vasudev has exhibited extensively internationally such as at the Paris Biennale;
Biennale Cuba; Drawings International, Yugoslavia; New South Contemporary
Paintings & Sculptures, UK, to name a few. He has shown solo in USA,
Canada, Germany and in all the major cities of India.

He works with oils on canvas, murals, copper reliefs and tapestry. Vasudev's
works are in the collections of various public and private institutions
such as the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi; Lalit Kala Academi,
Delhi; Air India; Wipro; Deutsche Bank; Citi Bank among others. He has
travelled widely in the U.S., UK and China, at the invitations of the
respective governments.

S.G. Vasudev lives and works in Bangalore, India.
