Portraits by Jane Dunn

Jane Dunn is an artist with years of personal experience and interest in people as individuals. With her keen observation and feeling for her subjects, she brings out the strengths and sensitivities of each person in her paintings.

Jane's in-depth studies of the human figure form the basis of her work, enabling flexibility in poses, from the traditionally serious to the more relaxed. The range of poses includes a choice of head and shoulders, seated, full length standing, indoors or outside, for either single or group portraits.

A personal yet professional approach will ensure that every care and consideration will be taken in discussions, sitting and execution of the work.

Sittings will be necessary for initial sketches and some of the painting, together with a session taking photographs for reference.

Paintings will be in oils on stretched canvas. A minimum of three months should be allowed from start to completion for individual portraits. Longer may be required in the case of group portraits.
